Krysten founded Nashville Swim Academy to create a place where every child can build confidence in the water while feeling safe, encouraged, and celebrated. She now guides NSA’s long-term vision and supports the team in bringing that purpose to life.

Here are answers to some of the most common questions about becoming a Nashville Swim Academy coach.

Most of our instructors are 18 years or older, but opportunities may vary based on experience and availability. If you’re enthusiastic about working with children, we’d still love to hear from you.

Not at all.

We hire for attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide the training you need to become a confident instructor.

Every new coach completes paid training before teaching lessons independently. You’ll learn our teaching methods, safety procedures, and how to build confidence in every swimmer.

We offer flexible scheduling with shifts available on weekday mornings and afternoons, as well as Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons. Many of our coaches work around school or other commitments.

Absolutely! Many of our team members are students, parents, or professionals looking for meaningful part-time work. We’ll work with you to build a schedule that fits your availability.

Most applicants hear from us within a few business days. If we’re a good fit for each other, we’ll schedule a phone interview, invite you to meet the team, and get you started with paid training.
